I painted this in order to continue experimenting with abstracted portraits in new ways. When I hand stretched this canvas, I purposefully made the frame wonky so that it would lean to the left when viewed straight on, just to see what would happen. I can see my style developing as I continue to practice and stretch my comfort zone in these ways, and I'm looking forward to continuing to develop it.
