Parking Lot Trees

acrylic paint, modeling paste

This work is one of two which was graciously included in the first annual Regina Frost Festival in February 2022. This piece was printed large-scale and part of the Art Walk, a large outdoor art gallery in Victoria park from February 4th-13th.

This piece was commissioned by Regina Downtown BID.

This painting uses a colorful abstract background to juxtapose the generally bleak palette of rural Saskatchewan winters. It features a blending of styles, something that I am currently experimenting with in my practice. My intention is that viewers will use this work to remind them to look for the colorful things in life, even when things seem dull and grey.
