This piece was one of the first paintings I made since the pandemic in 2020, and, at least in my mind, it's marked my transition from a printmaker to an intuitive painter. Although I no longer use oil paint, I really enjoyed this process, and it allowed an emotional release from what I had been experiencing up to that point involving the COVID pandemic. It's a self portrait.
